Talking for

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a short term therapy helping you identify and move past issues that are creating difficulties for you.

Why CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) is a short term therapy usualy lasting between 6 - 20 sessions depending on the severity of the problem. The work focuses on the here and now as opposed to spending time talking about past problems/difficulties/experiences. It is important that we look at what you may have learned from these events in order not to repeat old behavioural patterns and thinking.

You are encouraged to identify both short and long-term goals that you would like to achieve. We talk about how you think about yourself, other people and the world. We also discuss how your negative thoughts and feelings are preventing you from experiencing a more fulfilling and positive lifestyle.
